Omega provides decommissioning services for abandoned monitoring wells. When a water well is no longer being used for water retrieval or sampling it is abandoned. An abandoned well is a direct pathway from the surface to the acquifer and may result in ground water contamination. Therefore, it must be properly closed or decommissioned.
